The core team of the company DODAM is represented by Ilze Berzina, founder and chief translator-interpreter, and Dace Rastopcina, authorized representative and office manager.

Ilze Berzina is a linguist by background and for many years has been an active translator-interpreter, but she also is an educator and experienced entrepreneur. Apart the DODAM company, Ilze has been on the management board three other companies. Ilze has an Executive MBA and therefore she looks at situations from strategic point of view, but as a translator she prefers to translate legal documents and documents related to police and safety matters as well as life sciences. Among the clients of DODAM therefore, there have been lawyers and law firms, insurers, bodies in charge of public health and safety in Latvia and abroad. Ilze also has acted as an independent expert evaluating numerous EU projects.

Dace Rastocina has grown up in a bi-lingual family and has spent a considerable time abroad where she polished her third language skills before she started formal studies at a college. Although Dace is a former student of Ilze, Dace came into the company and took her position through a tough competition in which she demonstrated quick thinking, great communication and organizational skills and rational hands-on attitude. Dace believes that success can be built upon multiple small achievements. At her work Dace has been appreciated as a top-quality employee and has been granted an authorized right to represent the company in its business activities and sign contracts in the company’s name.

Ilze and Dace, although from so different backgrounds, feel they complete each other and together make a strong core of the DODAM team. Understanding the sensitivity of the business and each case, the DODAM management is very demanding when selecting their translators and interpreters. Thus the company supports its name and its slogan that, when translated, would stand for “Giving our word!”
